Your Frequently Asked Questions, Answered.
Is Revolution After Abortion pro-choice or anti-?
We are staunch supporters of comprehensive reproductive justice. Revolution After Abortion stands for the possibility of a new future built on a foundation of infinite love, one we believe people who've experienced abortion will design together.
Is this a religious program?
No. However, this program does align closely with a metaphysical text called A Course in Miracles.
A Course in Miracles is not a religion. It is a text containing universal spiritual principles. It uses the word "God," but not in a religious way. You can replace the word "God" with wording of your choosing, such as: trust, love, the Universe, Dolly Parton, or anything else that works for you.
A Course in Miracles does not mention the word "abortion." Two of the best lines in the text: "God does not forgive because God has never condemned" and "There is no such thing as sin." If anything in this paragraph offended you, then you probably won't be happy in this program. And that's okay. We wish you the best finding a program and community you love!
I'm an in-person type. Will I really feel connected and experience results over the internet?
We're also "in-person" types. We enjoy looking people in the eyes. We enjoy being able to reach over and touch someone's hand when they tell us something meaningful about their lives. We enjoy holding hands! We dream of having RAA "happenings" all over the world, places where we can come together for live truth-telling events. But our current priority with Revolution After Abortion is that it be accessible to as many people as possible. For now, that means we meet online.
What we can say is that many of our dearest "abortion friends" — other people who've had one or more abortions — are people we met over the internet. And then eventually met in person. We hope Revolution After Abortion provides a space where such friendships can blossom for you, too.
You also asked about being able to achieve results over the internet. Kassi works with clients almost exclusively on phone and video calls. Please click here and scroll down to read testimonials from Kassi's clients to see what they have to say about their results.
I don't live in the United States. Can I register for RAA?
ABSOLUTELY!!! Revolution After Abortion is worldwide.
I'm a man or non-binary person and my partner/ex had an abortion. Can I register for RAA?
Thank you so much for your interest. We believe cis men and non-binary people who've been involved in abortion experiences should have a space to talk about it. We fully support your desire to heal and to be liberated. However, at this time, RAA is only for cis women and non-binary people who've had abortions themselves. If you are interested in a version of RAA for you, please let us know at office [at] kassiunderwood [dot] com. If enough people express interest, we will open a program for you!
Despite her "Work With Me" page that suggests she works only with women, Kassi also occasionally works with men and non-binary people as private clients. Please book a free consultation, if you feel moved to do so.
I work at an organization that deals with abortion or pregnancy; may I attend for research purposes?
Thank you for your interest, but no, you may not. At this time, RAA is a private, sacred space for people who've had one or more abortions and have a sincere desire to connect and to learn magical spiritual modalities. We do not permit auditors of any kind. We wish you the best with your work!
If you would like Kassi to provide a training for your organization, please send an inquiry to office [at] kassiunderwood [dot] com. Thank you!
I want to register for Revolution After Abortion, but I want to be anonymous. Can I still register? Will I still get anything out of it?
You are absolutely welcome to register and to stay as anonymous as technology allows. Kassi will know your personal information because you will be asked to fill out a Getting Real To Heal questionnaire to help you dig deeper into your experience.
Please skip to the next question to read about Kassi's staunch confidentiality policy. If you do choose to remain 100% anonymous, we support your choice, but please note it will be your job to protect your anonymity within the group.
You will achieve results even if you remain anonymous, as long as you do the Spiritual Experiments and attend all the calls. Much of the work is personal and involves answering questions that will help you examine yourself and your life. It also involves developing a spiritual and meditation practice that you can keep for your entire life. Participating in a program like RAA can be a scary (and life-changing) step. If you have any concerns about being open about your identity, please feel free to send a 100% confidential e-mail to: office [at] kassiunderwood [dot] com. It will be received with compassion and respect.
I know Kassi personally. I really want to attend Revolution After Abortion, but she doesn't even know I've had an abortion. Will it be weird for me to register? Does Kassi work with people she knows?
Rest assured, you would not be the first friend or acquaintance to work with Kassi. She takes confidentiality very seriously. No matter how you know her — whether you are her dear friend or you know her through one of her family members — Kassi will never tell anyone that you participated in Revolution After Abortion. As she likes to say, the only thing she'll ever lie about is her student/client list. If someone asks her directly whether you participated in this program, she'll straight up lie and say no. She has done this before, and she will do it again. Bottom line: Kassi honors a strict code of confidentiality about the people with whom she works.
That said, Revolution After Abortion is a group program, and other people (including people you might know or with whom you have mutual Facebook friends) will be participating. Upon registration, we do ask each participant to sign a contract stating that they will respect the confidentiality of other participants. We will make every effort to ensure that this contract is honored to the fullest.
I noticed Revolution After Abortion begins during Mercury Retrograde. Isn't that supposed to be an awful time to begin something new?
You're right! Mercury Retrograde is supposed to be a terrible time to start something new. Good thing you won't be doing that! Your program doesn't begin with the first group coaching and community call — which does take place in Mercury Retrograde, on July 30th. Your program begins the moment you register for Revolution After Abortion. Registration ends in mid-July, before mercury retrograde begins.
Mercury Retrograde has its benefits, too. And we will be taking full advantage of them. Retrograde literally means to move backward. It will be the perfect time go back through your life to review, revise, rethink, resurrect a buried source of pain or a hidden desire. It's a damn good time to slow down and find out where you're not following your gut.
All that said, Mercury rules communication and retrograde is a time when mixed messages abound, so be sure to speak up during our group calls (or via email) to let us know if you need clarification at any point. Technology can go a little haywire, too, so it's a good idea to arrive at the group calls at least 15 minutes early to account for any surprise technical glitches.
Other than that, this retrograde period can only work in our favor! Thanks for moving backwards, Mercury!
What is your refund policy?
If you register for RAA and decide to leave the program, you can receive a full refund if you submit a request for withdrawal in writing by August 13th, 2018. If you want to leave the program anytime between August 13th, 2018 and August 27th, 2018, you will need to submit a request for withdrawal in writing, but you will receive only a partial refund; you will be responsible for the pro rata share of services you received based on time in the program, which is split into 6 weeks from July 30th, 2018 to September 9th, 2018. If you wan to leave the program after August 27th, 2018, you will be responsible for paying for the entire program, even if you stop participating.
For our official refund policy, please see the client agreement form, which Kassi will email to you once you register. If you have questions, please contact us at office [at] kassiunderwood [dot] com.
I want to do three $125 payments. Can you tell me when those payments will be due?
Payments made in thirds will be spread over a period between June 12th, 2018 and September 3rd, 2018. The first payment of $125 will occur when you register; after that, you will be billed for two more payments of $125 occurring once every four weeks. The payment schedule works out to about once a month.
